Roland Jones
Director of Mass Spec
Roland Jones studied chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before moving to Salt Lake City to obtain a Chemistry PhD from the University of Utah. During his graduate career, he studied guided ion beam tandem mass spectrometry applied to biological molecules. After gaining a strong basis here, he decided to apply his knowledge to the clinical field and completed a clinical chemistry fellowship with the school of medicine at Pennsylvania State University. Roland has authored several papers in the both the basic and clinical sciences, serves as a journal reviewer, and has been invited to discuss his work on a national and international level. Outside of work, Roland enjoys going to the gym, having dinner with friends, and playing with his dog.
